“Rumors of representational art’s demise are greatly exaggerated.” *
In fact, it is alive, well, and flourishing in the paintings of artists like Cynthia Kagan whose work ‘speaks directly’ of her subject matter.
One look at Kagan’s color-saturated, alluring seascapes, her sensually complex musical forms, the worn-out, dialogue-provoking working shoes, or her dramatic and skillfully crafted animal portraiture and it is easy to see that representational art is back and here to stay.
Her paintings hang in galleries, retail venues, museums, and private collections worldwide. |
